If you are looking for an easy weekend getaway from New York City, Philadelphia, or anywhere in between there are many options. Some of the nearest and quickest destinations include Cape May, Atlantic City, and Ocean City, New Jersey as the Niagara Falls. While the first three locations are

on the beach in New Jersey, it is very much similar to each other as they have a lot in common. All these locations offer many types of activities, besides a very different atmosphere, which is quiet and serene away from the hustle and bustle and the pollution of New York City. On the southern tip of New Jersey is the lovely and serene town of Cape May. Cape May is a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing town, with a historic ambience. Cape May in New Jersey was a very famous seaside holiday resort in the 1800s.

Many people built unique and artistic cottages along the shore during this time. During the last few years, the years the local residents have spent a great deal of time and effort in order to maintain and restore the medieval cottages.

The Victorian style buildings of that time is still present these days and is a large part of many of the shops and homes in the area. Cape May in New Jersey has a very “small town” feel, that makes it a very different place as compared to the other beach towns in the area. While Cape May in New Jersey maintains the small town feel, there is still plenty of activity to do. There are many lovely shops and over 40 different restaurants, besides there is the beach on the ocean that help make Cape May in New Jersey an excellent east coast getaway for soothing relaxation, tranquility and peace.
