To date, the car rental industry in the United States has become a strong one, with up to 1.7 million vehicles within the total industry inventory.
This is a big jump from just about 135,000 cars that are for rent in 1965. From such simple data, it could be easily inferred that car rental in the country is really in demand. Passenger vans are accounting for a significant part of the industry, as many travelers come in group and find it more attractive and practical to hire bigger vehicles to accommodate more people.
Before the passenger vehicle rentals became the giant that the industry is now, it had its humbling and small beginnings. In the US, the idea to lease vehicles for rent started in 1916, when a Nebraskan businessman named Joe Saunders established a car rental business using a single Ford Model. By 1925, the idea boomed and Mr. Saunders operated his business in 21 states. He purchased mostly Chrysler cars. Unfortunately, the business had to fold in 1930 amid the historic Great Depression.
Another company was able to equal the initiative. In 1918, a Chicago-based businessman, Walter Jacobs leased Model T Fords in the city. By 1923, the company bloomed to become a $1-million company,

based on annual sales. In 1947, National Car Rental System started in Missouri. As the prospect of car leasing and car rental grew, many more vehicle rental businesses sprouted. Now, there are just too many of them that the competition is so intense and customers have more choices.
In the 1970s, many car rentals started using used cars for rentals. Such vehicles were also sold at cheaper prices. But the earning potential of vehicle rentals kept on growing. By 1980s, competition really went full blast and there were just too many rental firms around. Most of those businesses are still operational up to this time.
Passenger rental vans started to gain popularity because many groups began having the need to travel collectively. Many large families who are on vacations at other states or cities also started preferring renting vans instead of taking cars to save on costs. Businessmen and executives also started finding passenger van rentals economical and enjoyable for business and leisure trips. Most passenger van rental firms also deemed it necessary to include luxury vans in their fleets to attract more high-end customers.
Image Van Rentals is one of the most popular and most reliable passenger van rental firms around. Attention All Sport Co Coordinators:
When you are doing up your cost report regarding the upcoming High School teams trips to the International competitions be sure to add in the cost of the van rentals.
Ok so what in the world does this mean? It means that by renting a 15-passenger van that you can take the entire transportation worry out of your competition responsibilities. If you happen to be going to New York City for example just think about how great it would be to have a 15-passenger van waiting for you the moment you step off the plane. Not only are you going to get to your Hotel a lot quicker, you are going to enjoy the hassle free experience you are in store for by utilizing passenger van rentals.
This means no lining up for taxis or waiting for Hotel shuttle buses. What is even better is that van rentals rates are so reasonable you can rent the van during your entire stay. This way if you get some free time between competitions you can take the team to do a little sightseeing.
It doesn’t matter what type of athletic team you have the 15 passenger van rental will suit the needs of basketball teams as well as volleyball teams. If you need something about smaller for cheerleading teams or dance teams then there is the 12 or 15 person van hire waiting to serve you.
No doubt if you are coach or sports co, coordinator you and other management have events and conferences that you must attend. Why not get a group together a group of 15 and take advantage of a van for hire to look after all your travel needs while there. Alternatively, perhaps if you were taking the wives along the van would be great for the group of them to do their shopping while you tend to business.
Another thing that you need to consider is if you are flying in at one destination and leaving at another then Image van rentals may be of service there as well.
